The Ohio Herb Center mentorship program was developed to assist herbalists with concentration on 3 areas of focus, Apothecary/Product making, Herb Garden creation and management, and Herbal Class Instructor. This program is a yearlong commitment. The goal is to help those who want to explore how to use their herbal education beyond personal use. It is structured to provide opportunities with the Ohio Herb Center to learn 3 key areas to develop your herbalist skills.

The 3 areas will focus on Apothecary management, for product making plus managing your personal herb stores, Teaching or Workshops, to help learn how to successfully convey your knowledge to an audience, and Garden management, for those more interested in working with the plants. The price of the program includes 4 meetups with everyone enrolled, 3 virtual or phone interactions with the instructor, projects to learn more about the focus areas you are interested in, and a final project to present to the group that will depend on your desired area of focus. There will be additional opportunities to assist with classes or events led by Ohio Herb Center staff. This will enable you to learn the language of engaging with the public on herbal topics. Each area of focus will end with a project completed by the mentees.
