This hands-on workshop taught by Sheena Hanscel of the Pollen Patch, invites participants to explore the beauty and benefits of evergreens in winter floral arrangements. You will learn the history and traditions of bringing evergreens into the home—from ancient winter solstice rituals to modern holiday practices. Discover the medicinal properties of common evergreens, including their benefits beyond aroma. You will take home a finished winter arrangement, a handout on evergreens that includes their symbolism and how they are used plus new skills in floral design, plant identification, and mindful plant connection.

The Ohio Herb Center mentorship program was developed to assist herbalists with concentration on 3 areas of focus, Apothecary/Product making, Herb Garden creation and management, and Herbal Class Instructor. Each area of focus will end with a project completed by the mentees. Each participant will receive a certificate with a detailed list of what they achieved during the program along with total contact hours.
